In completing a project, you should keep several things in mind:
While you can't possibly do everything, you certainly should have a lot of it done.
Your project should be competently finished.
It should be obvious in looking at your project that you have spent your time well.
Challenges happen in projects. How you respond to these challenges is important and makes a difference.
Your project should encourage people to ask about what you did do, rather than what you didn't do.
With the above in mind, here are some numbers to put on your project completion:
50% Your project is physically complete
The case or exterior is visually intact. Nothing is missing or inappropriately damaged.
All panels are present and in place.
The project has a consistent appearance.
The project has uniform paint job.
50% Your project is functionally complete
When you turn it on, it starts
The operating system is present and functional.
The parts of the system all work together (monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc)
The project functions normally as a user would expect.
