NextProject

When you have completed the Pentium 3 process and project, you will need to create a NextProject. This project is designed to be relatively open ended, and can be repeated if you need to.

Here is an outline for the project:

Goals - You need to state at the beginning of the project what your goals are. The more realistic and specific they are, the better. You need to have a basic concept that you are following. It should be clear to you what your overall purpose is in the project, and whether you are on track.

Beginning State - At the beginning of the project, you need to make an assessment of what the situation is. Name your project, and make a page on your wiki. If you are working with a partner, list your names, and each of you make a page on your wiki for the project. If it is a computer that you are resurrecting, you need to list out everything that you know about the computer. First start with the outside of the machine. Take pictures if possible. What is the brand, model, manufacture date, are there manufacturer's markings on the case? What features are visible? What processer chip is it built for? Start it up and do the same. What operating system, how much RAM, what operating system?

Accomplishments - This is a listing of what you get done on the project. A daily log makes the most sense, each day you work on it, make an entry that tells what you have done.

End State - At the end of the project, you will do a similar assessment to the Beginning State. go through the features that you identified in the beginning and list out what the situation is now. At this point, you should reflect on what the project showed you about Building and Repairing Computers.

Reflection Questions -

What did you set out to do at the start?

What problems did you encounter?

In what way did the project change?

What would be some additional steps for you to take?

If you had money to spend wisely, what else could you do to improve upon what you have done?
